    Rat Packs

ok, so i may have consumed a fair bit of a lovely but cheap red wine and, in a fit of slight hunger found and opened a rat pack i had sitting next to the desk, i've wiped out the sticky but devine boiled sweets, the ever delightful Anzac biscuit and now on to the muesli bar before i start on the strawberry fruit grains........

i clearly need help, i recall the first time i sat back and enjoyed the delights of tubes of sugar crystallised honey from linton army champ in the 70's......(just opened the strawberry fruit! now!) an intervention is clearly on the cards

Does anyone have some unmollested unopened NZDF rat packs that i can purchase???? (OMG!!!!! just found the chocolate with the klinkers!)

    cheers

Bloody chocolate with Klinkers are hard currency aye!
I actually do have some but can't guarantee how expired they are
Might even have some of the newer 12hour rat pack with self heating pack and more fancy civvie snacks.
I'll take a look tomorrow to see what I've got.

Used to love making Scrape Nachos - Chilli Beef on Cabin bread with Cheese and Sweet chilli was the go to.

However the Chilli beef used to give me absolute assholes the second time round.

The ones with the cans of meat were terrible
Those cans were graded c4.2 or some such.
Jellimeat for cats is graded c5.
Still cold and hungry....it all fills you up....
And it does explain what NZDF did with all those horses

Well I thought I would post a wee update for anyone considering eating expiry 13-06-16 C-menu option, the boiled sweets, chocolate, safes as, the muesli bars, fine bit dry I had hoped for the Anzac biscuits but beggars will certainly not be complaining, chicken casserole along with the beef chilie and rice are being eaten cold, (true test) are ok, id probably not let them go another 3 years the cheese, im actually surprised, I honestly reckon the taste has improved! The fruit grains along with the Nuts and raisins fine perfectly fine, cabin bread admittedly has a new taste to it but i very much think this is like elven bread Frodo used in Mordor, again it’s now in my tummy with the cheese.

I’m about to try the muesli breakfast along with some apricot jams, (jams still good, added the rest to the muesli yum)

Hang on, ive just read the menu, there should have been Anzac biscuits, Owell still im pleasantly surprised and a bloody massive thank you to @Ben-tard

Have a look in the packs in the unopened box, should have the Anzac biscuits in it, there is a possibility I raided the opened ones and ate the Anzac bikkies
    Yep, that's a potato

I just finished off one of these, pretty impressed with how they've aged chocolate looked new, no white bloom. Cabin bread was a bit off maybe? Eatable but strange taste. The sweetened condensed milk wasnt as good as I remembered, that stuff used to be like crack to a cold hungry 17yr old. The green scratchy pad brought back memories, wonder what they definitely don't use to clean their rifles now days
