    And weight without scope?

To be fair, it is one cartridge that is a waste of time improving. Very little gain if any.
May see a bit more in a 29" barrel but still not worth it imo.
It is easily my favorite 6.5 chambering. Had a great run with my one.

Fred Huntingdon of RCBS fame's favourite cartridge was his 265 RCBS, which was a 28 degree 6.5/06 improved. Improved velocity with the benefit of a steeper shoulder to limit brass flow. Any cartridge with its slumpy shoulders pumped up rates in my books

Yeah, it is fair to say I am a huge Ackley fan.

I am interested how this standard one above performs in a 29" barrel

Improving my .223 was enough to convince me that it was worth doing for me...I barely ever have to trim brass and have seen up to +150fps over the parent case with 55grn bullets.
It's not quite at .22-250 speeds but it's not far behind with a lot less powder.
If I didn't already have a customised suitable donor rifle that I'm trying to make up my mind what to build with, then I would be pretty tempted by this one.

Thread is 14x1 performance was up around 300 fps with lapua scenar? Will confirm. Have no idea on weight until I receive it sorry. I imagine it will be fairly close to my 300 winmag in a similar setup which was a touch over 8lbs
