    Remington 700 .270 Stainless

    Hey guys,

Selling off a project that didnít really begin. Need to conquer my G.A.S (gun acquisition syndrome) so making a tough call and doubling down with my other two rifles.

Remington 700 BDL stainless .270. I bought it second hand, and havenít fired a shot from it. I gave it the once over and itís in super condition, bore and crown are great, still original length at 24Ē. Standard trigger. Can come in either stock, your choice. Currently sitting in an HS precision Sendero stock, which looks to be brand new. Hasnít been bedded yet even. Scope and rings not included.

    Fitted to standard stock $750

Fitted in HS precision stock $1100

Iíve got one of these serial #621xxxc. So similar vintage from 15+ years ago. I put mine in a Mc Milligan stock and it a brilliant shooter. Well priced and there is a lot to be said for a good 700.

I also suffer from GAS, get rid of one, and then another catches my eye.
    Wife says I have issues.
She just dos'nt understand what GAS does to a man...

    Bump bump.

Hi there, was wondering if you had any idea of use/performance from the last owner? I.e. grouping @ 100m, number of rounds through it and previous life (bush, hills, mountains or target). Looking for first rifle so just trying to get clued up on specs etc.
    Cheers

I bought it from a local dealer, so have no idea of some of the details you are after sorry. Based on its age and condition, I would say it’s done bugger all work. I have it the ‘once over’ and everything looks good to me. I’m fairly fastidious with that stuff too. It is bog standard, has full length 24” barrel, so you’ll at least get top velocity.

I haven’t fired a shot from it, so can’t comment. Just bought a Sako so this one has to go. In a way, you can think of the action as an investment. It will last you forever even if the barrel doesn’t. I bought it to rebarrel to 30/06 but changed direction. I’d be surprised if it didn’t shoot well, especially in the HS stock
