    thanks mate. i know you can go lighter but i wanted this to still be able to shoot longer distances too hence a standard profile barrel and a heavier leupold vx5.

    That's some of the nicest work I've seen on a lightened 700 action. What a great set-up. I bet it will be a great shooter.

    I took Robbie's one out hunting a couple of times while I was doing load development for it, pic for comparison with the OP gun @Gibo might spot an amusing detail that no one else will get.
