    Remmington 1187 20 Gauge

Purchased 2nd hand 4 years ago, when I broke the cocking lever on my main gun on Opening Day. Shot it for 1 season, and it's been sitting in the safe ever since. Good tidy condition. Shoots target loads and out to 3 inch shells. Comes with 1/4, 1/2 and full chokes.

Pick up Wellington or shipped via the dealers network.

    $400.00

These are a great gun ,we used 1187 20 Gauges as back up guns for clients while Dove hunting in Argentina ,where the shooting was that full on a 2 CASE morning & a 2+ in the evening was the norm & we would employ loaders to keep the shells up to the clients. Many guns failed over a week of this sought of use & the 1187's would come out to take the abuse.

After seeing how they kept on going l set up a custom one for my own use set up by Briley while l was working in the US with the barrel cut at 22inches,back bored & Briley multi chokes & used that for years around the world even though l am a good SXS & U/O sucker. That 1187 was used on everything from grouse on the Moors to shooting rubber buckshot out of Helicopters for Scrub Bulls & Water Buffalo.

Anyone wanting a gun that will keep on going in the conditions we hunt in here & take a knock, rattling around on a Quad or boat etc , will find the 1187 up to it ,just do not over oil them & make sure all surfaces have a light coating of a good gun lubricant( l always liked CLP) & they will not let you down IMO this would make a good first Semi for someone as the up front weight will encourage swinging through smoothly & the weight & balance does a excellent job of controlling recoil .

    Good Luck with the sale
