Rings and bases for norinco jw15

Putting a better scope on my jw15 but it won't fit. Not keen on grinding the bolt so I need some higher rings and bases I think.

I have measured the current scope height and it's roughly an inch higher than the dove tail.

It might only need 30 mm high bases. I am not too sure.

I would like to spend no more than 100 dollar's as I do not use the 22 that much.

    Cheers.

both mine have had wee amounts taken off top of bolt for that reason but the elcheapho mounts on them now allow the 3x9x40mm to function properly(and the grinding wasnt needed)....maybe take scope slightly further forward /back wards will allow it to work. the dovetail does come right back so allows quite a bit of wiggle room to get it right.

    Another thing.

Not sure if it need bases. The jw15 has a dovetail on the receiver. So I am sure that I need 30mm high scope rings that will fit a 1 inch scope.

Not so keen to do that if I don't have to.

    The scope is a 3x9 X 40 too.

Hopefully it'll work out with good eye relief

no bases needed, just simple cheap .22 bases that fit onto the narrow/.22 dovetail. any sports shop worth its weight in goat turds will have sets of rings to do the job for under a hundy...

Better off leaving the scope lower and ginding a bit of the bolt handle
Done it to my model 2 brno last week if i was to sell the rifle I would probably take a few minutes to tidy it but good enough for my purposes Name: 37C50278-A5FA-48FB-B7C9-6BFA558C5417.jpeg

Chinese is good enough. It's a cheap plinker and occasional possum gun. So no need for anything amazing.

I will send a pm now
