I have a Ruger Ranch in .223, bought from 556 Media. If that's what you're after, I'd defo give 556 media a call!!

Want a stainless/synthetic, take-down bolt-rifle. The Ruger American has an alloy V-block in the stock, and no internal magazine box or floor plate (requiring aligning). It won't need any bedding. Provided the barrel isn't a dud, it should return to zero every time upon reassembly.

Not the prettiest rifles, but an economical solution to my needs.

It seems there are no stainless .223's left in the country. :/

have you thought about the ranch version .i dont know if it has the v block but at 16 inch barrel fairly compact had my one parkerised .looks great.

Yes, the Ranch should have the same V-block design.

I'm after a stainless barrel and flush magazine, which rules out the Ranch model.

I know, I'm not making it easy for myself.

That's my last resort. Pimping out a Tikka, or a Howa Mini.

But I'll test my chances of nabbing a Ruger first. It'll be the cheapest option.
