    Ruger M77/17 M2

Ruger M77/17 Target Grey bolt action in 17Mach2. 10 shot mag.
Comes with Rifle Basix adjustable trigger kit and factory. Ruger 1 inch stainless rings. 2 part packets of ammo.
Also comes with new bottom metal to convert to take the 17HMR which was my original plan, but got offered a Sako Quad varmit in 17hmr at too good a price to pass up.
More ammo is available - see my other post.

    $550.00

What's required for the change to HMR, does it need inletting done?

As far as im aware nothing in that regard. Change bottom metal which just clips in and out, 9 shot HMR magazine and reaming the chamber from 17Mach2 to 17HMR and that's it.
I think Dan Maisey was the one I was told to get it done by - from memory roughly $150 was mentioned, but then I got a shipment of ammo so it got put on the backburner.
Barrel doesn't change so no need to change any inletting.

I did exactly that change to my Ruger Mach 2, as said just a rechamber and swapping out the bottom metal and magazine. Dean Maisey did mine for $200 including changing the caliber engraving on the barrel and return shipping. Note this is for the slip fit barrel, not the newer threaded models if that applies. Also, as you have both bottom metals you can add .22 or .22mag barrels and have a switchbarrel - I've got 3 calibers for mine. I think I put a slight bevel on the extractor claw to aid smooth feeding of the magnum case too, but that's optional.
