HGM - the kit has three springs - 3lb , 2 1/2 lb and 2 lb so you can set to suit. colour coded , with printed instructions - well , photocopied , printed instructions. Almost idiot-proof , I'm told ;-)

This kit does NOT fit the earlier tang-safety model, only the Mk11

depends on what he has done. This kit supplies options for the release weight , your smith may not have fitted new springs , only adjusted the screw adjustments. You would need to know what he actually did to be able to answer your question, and I am not prepared to say yes or no without that knowledge. Your call entirely , the set is here if you want to try it.
