    Ruger No1 375 H&H magnum (Maybe....)

I am not entirely sure if I can part with this one. I may change my mind. I know I dont want to and if I can find the funds that I want and it does not sell, I shall actually be quite happy to keep it.

This is not just a rifle, but a whole package.

Ruger No1 in 375 Holland and Holland Magnum. A proper calibre if ever there as one.

This particular rifle will have stories to tell, but unfortunately I do not know them. I purchased it a few years ago, after yearning for one for many years. The previous owner had moved out to NZ from Alaska.

I bought 100 rounds of Hornady when I got it, and have used a few. When you finish the remaining 80 ish rounds, you will have 100 once fired Hornady Brass to reload. That way you are not spending $130 per box for ammo. This is included in purchase meaning it will have to be picked up. I have not yet got around to actually sighting it in. Might try to do that next day or so, so will add pictures of any targets if I do.

You will also get a brand new set of dies for reloading. Only opened the box for the photo. I have not used them yet as I have not emptied my brass yet. (see note above....)

The scope is apparently an old Kahles 26mm and has 26mm rings to match. It is a fixed 6 power and has seen better days but it still works. I cannot find any markings on it, but I cannot fault it either.

Rifle was made as a Bicentenary edition by Ruger. (See stamp on barrel picture. 200th year of freedom in the USA.)

I will have to ask for $2000. Considering there is $650 of ammo and dies, and you get the rings and scope, over all I feel that is a fair price. I will answer any questions and please take care not to dribble on your keyboard as you oogle my rifle.

    That's a heck of a deal for sum one, I had a sister #1, in 300 H&H, and foolishly sold it, for a M700 in 300 H&H,
classic rifle, versatile hunting round, nice wood, if I hadn't just ordered a set of Barrels, for my double rifle, I be very tempted.

@rugerman , I dont particularly want to sell it but I have a project that is not gun related, that needs some significant (for me) finance and unfortunately this falls into the "wants" pile rather than the "needs" pile. If I manage to scratch up the funds another way, then I will gladly hang on to this, but as it stands I have to let it go to find the funds.

    Does that make sense?

Not a trick of the light. There is an absence of blueing there but I suspect that it is possibly from a sight band or something that has been removed by the previous owner as it s all the way around and too straight to be wear....

I had a closer look and it definitely has the shape of a foresight that once was. It is all the way around the muzzle with a thin line coming back a bit further on the top of the barrel where the ramp would have been. I would imagine very much like what is in this picture.

I have listed the other two rifles on trade me but not this one yet. It is still only up for sale here.

I am selling this at this stage. I wont be disappointed if it does not sell, but if someone says they want it I am not going to be a prick and change my mind. If it sells then someone is buying my pride and joy....

If I sell the other two rifles, then I can consider what my options are and proceed.

Yup. At this stage, as much as I would like to keep it, this one will be looking for a new home. Not going on the yellow site (yet) but if it does, it will be dearer. I need another motorcycle and we need a new couch, and something has to pay for it....I have another favourite rifle if this one does not sell but it has a queue of buyers begging me for it and I dont want to sell that one..... I also have a BLR that could potentially go instead of this one, but we will see.....
