    S&B PMII 3-12x50 / 4-16x50 / 5-20 US

Home soon and after a new scope for my new rifle.

Prefer a SuB PMII single turn mil/mil in the lower mag ranges but will consider a 5-20 Ultra Short.

    WHY

    Thanks.

I was doing some work on a rifle that had an ultra short on it.
It had the worst clicks of any high end scope I have ever tried.
The parallax knob needed a set of vice grips to adjust.
    I was completely underwhelmed.
Nightforce or go home at that spend level and spec.

As someone who has this scope I would say the opposite.

If you have the More Tactile Clicks option (semi-stop at every mil graduation) then it does take a little getting used to.

Big parallax wheel is nice, only moves when needed.

Overall an ace scope but with the Ultra Shorts they do change the balance of a rifle, same weight as a full size scope but shorter.

Would not use it on a light stalking rifle, more of a prone rig that needs to be carried between points.

Only my opinion, so as long as your happy that is all that matters.
    Cheers

You are right, Parallax is tight as fk, but my hand works as vice grips anyway. The clicks get a harder click every 1mil as you wind from 0.1 to 1mil. which is something different.

Another bugger with the 5-20 US is the mounts... went with the Sphur one that is specific to the scope as on most of the 34mm mounts the ring spacing is too far apart/

We have been around that buoy Andy, if Hardy wants to add 1500 to every scope then he will continue to push his potential customers to the grey market or Australia.

Hence the request for a fair price on a used S&B.
