    Sako 85 Bavarian 6.5x55

I have an itch, it needs scratching, I think I have rang every gunshop in NZ looking for a 85 Bavarian in 6.5x55 but no luck. Maybe someone knows someone who knows someone?

Have you shouldered one? I'd suggest you do before letting go of any money. The hogsback stock is not everyones cup of tea.

Too true, I used one in 7mm 08 and wasn't very nice to shoot at all, kicked heaps. But it did look nice.

You did warn me that getting my first Sako would be the start of a long slippery slide...

Bavarian's are nice, but that typical kraut style hogs back stock is really set up for open sights. As mentioned if you want some nice wood but a more practical stock design, go the Deluxe.

But hey Ryan, it's your $$ so you buy what ever trips your trigger......
