    Sako Carbonlight - 7mm08

I've decided to sell this stunning new Sako Carbonlight. It's essentially new - I've had it for 2 weeks and it's been on the range once. In total it's had 28 rounds through it.

    Details:

Rifle only - 7mm08. Comes with box and all the bits that you normally get with it - tools, sling attachments and manual.
Optilocks and scope etc. not included.
    Standard factory thread - 14 x 1 mm
As it sits here today it owes me $5,100. Will sell it for $4,800 plus shipping.

So why are you selling? And how much with scope and rings.

Selling because I'd like to move to a different calibre.... and no, I don't want to sell the scope or the rings sorry. I can't afford to take a loss on those as well.

I'm curious as well. I know things/bills crop up. But I also wonder did it not shoot well on its one trip to the range?

It shot very well at the range... after the usual round of new barrel conditioning and break-in.

Shots 1 and 2 were preliminary shots at another target then I did the following 3-shot group at 100 metres resulting in a spread of about 17mm.

Not bad, but why a different calibre? This riffle should shoot out to good distances and it looks like a shooter. Good choice of scope by the way

These are $4799 at h&f, your asking more than New for second hand? Something's not right here

    Excellent. Go buy one then.

Every time I've looked at them at H&F they're between $5,000 and $5,100 depending on options. Add to that threading and shipping and I bet your credit card adds up to more than $4,800. As for the cost of the ammo, frankly I don't give a shirt about what that costs... it's a consumable.

    Sako Carbonlight - 7mm08

Disagree, a young shaver could be on here thinking he's getting a great deal and buy it not knowing the retail, just assuming because he's in a nz forum full of supposivly good buggers that are supposed to look after other members that this would be a good price when it is clearly not.
One thing I don't like in life is people trying to rip other people off so I feel obligated to speak up

I have no problem with skunking, it is nice when someone points out an item is cheaper new, one of the reasons people frequent forums is to learn, its certainly one of the reasons I do
