Going on his previous listings replies to queries, "you don't ask questions, just pay what I want".

I don't know how people run a business doing that. You'd think after having it in stock for that long the penny might drop that customers think it's a bit overpriced? But hey, what do I know

You got that right, been watching a second hand 20g Benelli at H & Fleesing for 2 years, they still want $200 below a new one but won't move.

Be careful buying older sakos as sometimes the sellers aren't that honest about the bore. I bought one vixen where bore was supposed to be mint but it was far from it!

A fare bit of elbow grease got the barrel shooting respectable!

A mate bought an old vixen with scratches, dings and dents showing it had an amazing life and I bet it had been on a few adventures by its mere appearance. He had a spare barrel, swapped it out and the rifle shoots stunningly with the dings and dents just adding character... I'd buy it if he ever sells it!

So if you find an old vixen looking run down... just think outside the box as it could be a Cinderella!

One of the biggest drawbacks with them is the 58.5mm OAL mag length. The modern bullets need to be seated pretty deep to run in the mag, a thing to be weary of if you think of running a 1:8 barrel in one. This applies to the 85 as well, that comes in 1:8 from the factory.
No prob's though if you are just running 50 or 55gr cup & core bullets.

I sold a mint (and by mint, I mean faaaaarkin' mint) Vixen earlier in the year on trademe. I put it on $1.00 reserve, and it sold for $3550 from memory.

There's a market out there for them, so expect to pay big bucks for one in excellent condition.

Seller comment: In response to questions this rifle is in used condition and as i am selling it on behalf i am unsure of the exact round count but i am sure it has sat in a safe unused for at least 20 years and after examining and cleaning the bore looks in great shape, this rifle will be sold through auction only and is listed elswhere it will not be shown to tyrekickers and will not be offered to watchers so if your keen have a bid,no more questions will be answered 2:55 pm, Sat 19 Oct
