    For Sale: Mossberg 930 12g E CAT

Excellent condition, shot about 150 rounds since new 3 months ago. Comes with standard mag tube and a 10+1 Tube. 18.5" barrel with IC Choke. Has had some dremmel work round the feed port to reduce loading time. She shoots very well but I must sell due to new business venture. E CAT Registered so you could put a pistol grip on it if you wanted to, $1800. email: headshots@zombieland.co.nz for more info.

Is it just because its black that makes it e cat? Cos it looks like a shotgun.

Wonder what category that makes my pistol grip mossy that takes 8 rounds? It looks way more dangerous than that. Its black as well.
Surely that is not an E Cat gun ??

An extract from Constable Plod's good book.................

"An MSSA is a self-loading rifle or shotgun with one or more of the following features:
    • Folding or telescopic butt
    • Magazine that holds, or has appearance of holding, more than 15 cartridges for .22 rimfire
    • Magazine that holds, or has appearance of holding, more than 7 cartridges for others"
Note the SELF LOADING and the MAGAZINE HOLDING MORE THAN 7 Cartridges.

IMHO, as Toby said, it is self loading and comes with the 10+ 1 tube.

It was a confusion of ideas between him and one of the lions he was hunting in Kenya that had caused A. B. Spottsworth to make the obituary column. He thought the lion was dead, and the lion thought it wasn't.

So the Berretta with mag extension becomes E CAT? Learn something there. How many duck shooters out there need E cat licence now then ?

Weeeeeeeeell, if it is an automatic, and with the extra capacity added , it can hold 8+1, then probably, BUT I do suspect that F&G would be going a bit ape shit about exceeding........is it 3 capacity?

As I see it, the problem is "having" the extension. Doesn't seem to matter if it is fitted , just owned. SO keep it at the back of the dog kennel under the flea infested piece of sacking :>)

Remember that the mag can only hold 7 rounds which doesn't include the +1 in the chamber. What size shell you use is up to you

You can ghost load 930's to hold 7+1+1. Wonder how that fits in.

Being over gunned is under rated.

I've seen an ex chopper Benelli with what was probably a 9 or 10 shot mag extension on the rack in a gun shop. They were trying to talk a dude into it as his first duck gun...
