For Sale - Remington Model Seven 308

    Hello Guys

For those who followed my "Taking a Punt" thread, here is one of the rifles discussed.

Its a Stainless synthetic Model 7 in 308. It has a replacement bolt that was properly headspaced up (it took a few turns of a match reamer to get it right, so you can be assured the chamber is tight). This bolt is from a blued model - actually looks quite good I think. The barrel of this rifle has done very little work and I got it shooting right on an inch (26 mm) at 100 yards with the first load I made for it (I'll share the recipe to a successful buyer).

The Redfield style turn in steel scope rings are for a 1" tube, and it took a x42 scope okay - if you have a scope with a large eyepiece it might need higher rings, I can probably find some here.

Good inexpensive lightweight rifle at $750 plus postage.

    Thanks
    Foster

Sheeet. Do you know how long I looked for one of these for my sister last year....? Since buying her something else I've seen at least 5 model 7's come up for sale.

Good luck with the sale, a good rifle at a good price in a handy calibre...sure it won't last long.

Already got one and we used it yesterday with some sub-sonic loads to help train Jet into loving going out with the rifles!
