    For Sale Tikka T3 25-06

    The clean out continues

I got this as a donor for a 280ai build but have decided to see if some one else wants it.

It is in very good second hand condition & has done very little.

    It comes with Factory rings.

I would like $900 for it.

not really sure to honnest . just that i have and older model tikka 695 in 25-06 but its a heavy beast i use this as my range /target rifle so was considering weather a t3 lite in same cal with either a lite brake or suppresor would be a option for me as a bush baby .. what s your opinion?

Why would you want a break on it in the bush I wonder? It would just make it as noisy as hell.

Then with a suppressor, you have the new problem of adding at least 4" to the OAL of your (bush) rifle, unless you chop your barrel by the equivalent. Then you would have an 18" barrel 25/06 which would be very inefficient. The 25/06 is best suited to 22/24" barrels. I guess that's why compact bush rifles need to use efficient cartridges like the 308 based ones. 25/06 would be about the least efficient one you could choose. I think.

If you want to use the 25/06 in the bush and for general stuff, buy Greg's Tika and leave it as it is. Or don't chop the barrel, add a suppressor, and take it off if you are in the tight stuff. You will likely need to change your point of impact though, which isn't a biggy if you know the adjustment required and your scope clicks accurately.

Just use it as it is, recoil in a 25/06 is really tame . Use 110grn accubonds in it and it would serve you well.
