    Savage 116 6.5-284

I have a near new Savage 116 S/S in 6.5-284 2 months old, purchased as I already reload 6.5-284 for my f open rifle but as I mostly bush hunt it's a bit to long for me, fired 38 rounds only, been on one hunting trip but ended up using my AR 762-39 as it was handier in the bush, has a rail installed, no scope or rings. $1200 pick up, can post but will need to get price as I'm on Waiheke, must provide police license verification thingie, no exceptions. Check out article on rifle, link below.

done a bit of load development but was hurried as had a hunting trip to go on so 1 MOA was good enough for filling the freezer, at 24" it's just a little long for the bush for me. Good rifle though, feels nice and when it's run in I have no doubt it will be a sweet tops set up.

Yeah Serious Shooters had a couple of them, I was sort of keen on one but just wasn't so sure about the real light profile of the barrel for that type of cartridge? Quite Tikka'ish, I guess short strings, I'm just not very patient for doing that.
