    Savage .17HMR for sale

Top of the range Savage, factory fitted laminated Boyd stock, accutrigger, DPT supressor ( threading work also done by DPT )
Bull barrel with spiral twist. Bolt being smoothed out and other small touchs done.
Very accurate with rabbits shot past 230mtrs if conditions allow.
Scope is Bushnell AR 4.5-18, nice glass for the price.
Rifle has done 350 rds. Only reason for sale is I have moved down from the BOP to central Otago and my hunting has changed to much longer shots .
Plus I want a rifle capable of taking odd deer and pig.
I am a leftie and although the gun is right handed the stock is comfortable and useable for a leftie.
Will include some basic cleaning gear as well for forum members.
Will consider looking at a 223 as trade or swap with $ either way.Name: 0312161221a.jpg

Lol, yeah it's a stunner, as new and barely a mark. Sorry mean't to say bipod is also included.....price....over $1500 to set up new but I will sell it for
alot less than that. Open to offers , I can only say " no thanks"....you maybe surprised.
Would suit new rifle buyer who wants to save some serious $

How do you find the DPT on it? Been thinking about one for mine as I have the exact same rifle. Funny that you have move to Cromwell and want to sell it. I brought mine for bunny busting in Central

Hi Possum shooter. The DPT are great, unsupressed the .17 is a noisy little round with a real sharp crack. The DPT really kills the sharp crack, very light so you can walk and shoot standing with out the rifle feeling overly forward heavy.
I just find the calibre doesnt have the reach I need on some of the open stations I shoot plus I want a rifle that will also take a deer / pig etc, just a case of horses for courses.
