I picked up a Marlin XT22 Youth for my kids, eldest is still a little small for it yet. But its a proper little rifle, dovetail for rings, either a 5 shot mag, or a single shot follower in place of mag.

When kids out-grow the scaled down stock just fit the full sized stock from XT22

I have one I have been thinking about moving on...but it is pink.

It is a fantastic little training rifle, not just a short stock but a truely scaled down rifle for children to learn on.

Even with full size me uncomfortably shooting it it is really accurate...even preferring cheaper ammo
I had no trouble putting every shot on a 100mm plate at 100m with cheap fed bulk ammo.

I will say tho it has had a few failure to fires, apparently this can happen if the accutrigger is not pulled straight back( very good trigger for a cheap kids 22) but I am sure this is not the case.

A bit of a google shows this can be a problem with some of them.

Mine has only done it maybe 10 times out of 500ish rounds and only required lifting and closing the bolt again once to fire but it is there and apparently a known issue with some.
