    Saving up for a .50

Hey guys I'm saving up for a new rifle and I really want a .50 BMG. I know 338 is cheaper and ballistically better but I'm a heavy machine gunner by trade and I love the .50

Does Anyone have some info on where to buy one, prices or does anyone know how I can import one.

A zel customs .50 upper would be ideal! Dreams a free! Haha

    Cheers

Good luck importing one, currently you will need all the luck you can imagine & then some.....

    DED might have a Barrett M99 ?

    I have a Steyr HS 50 M1 I might consider selling.

There is a SH Barnard GP actioned single shot at Guncity Chch.

SSRNZ builds nice small light 50s.

It is relatively easy to build a local component 50 BMG, the stock is the hardest bit.

    +1 for SSR
Scott made my lightweight 50, I'd consider something different if I was you, unless you want two shoot at hills

    Status_50 BMG Rifles

Don't know what the prices are sorry but would be curious as to what you get and what it costs as I'm keen to follow that road one day too

    The rifles the cheap part!
Try buying some high bc projectiles like the amax!
There is a rumor that some made it into the country?

You don't need high BC projectiles for a 50 it isn't an ELR or LR round, it is a fun round

If you want to shoot high BC projectiles at ELR get a .375, anything else can't keep up or even get close.....

Ask some of those rag heads that have been smoked by those half inch fuckers whether its a long range round or not.
    Thats right they're dead.
That hs of yours should be pretty accurate with match ammo ?

    LOL yep run the Ballistics...

Got told in the weekend the Aussies ? had another longest strike record 2800 +....

All I can say is they are lucky they don't have big 375s

Yep she is pretty accurate with the ADI FMJs.

    Where I shoot ELR.

My 375 takes 57 moa to get to 2070 yards with 1454 fps left & 2100+ ftlbs

My 50 should take 82 moa to get 2070 yards with 1160 fps have 2200+ ftlbs.... if it can push the Amax at 2400 fps

The 50 is way cooler, always will be, my Barrett was something else

The 50 will always have a military role it is so flexible especially with the payloads it can carry, it doesn't need to be accurate

Yep seen some of those payloads going through steel and making smoke and bangs with sparks.
Have you tried amy amax kg?

Not yet have some on back order..... saw some at the Tahr show, saw the price & said "Hell yeah I'll buy a box"......Yeah right..... ADIs were $10....each....

I thought $5 was bad enough for a projectile & 230 odd grains of powder & $0.7-$1 primer......

    Yep the 375 is cheap.......
