    The bases also fit BLR Browning's so they won't pay for the base at the "hand ins"

    No, but they will cover up a bit of a gark in the finish which will reduce the value considerably :-)

    Handed mine in with the Araldite still there, still got used which is what I expected after 40 years use.

    A Black felt pen makes the gark patches go away. Give it at least a couple of coats.
