Another option, if the above dont work out, I bought a nikon prostaff II rimfire 3 x 9 from brownells the other day - $162nz to the door (took 11 days) - they were on sale for $89usd.

I would recommend getting a scope with a suitable parallax setting. Some people say it doesn't matter, but we are shooting small targets with a rimfire, so why not get it right? A parallax setting of 50 metres is standard for a rimfire. An adjustable objective scope would also work.

My 2c about parallax on a rimfire is that I don't find it an issue on bolt guns where I'm normally taking my time but with a 10/22 my shots are often more hurried so ideal head position is not always there so if buying I would only look at preset to short distance or adjustable scopes.

Intresting. I have ssen a few scopes labeled "rimfire". @Pineapple
Thats a bloody good deal. Are brownells easy to deal with? Any permits or paper work required?
Its for a 10/22 im am putting togeather for the mrs short barrel and womens sized stock etc,
So want scope to be easy to use if you no what i mean.
    Set parallax would be ideal.

the problem with "rimfire" scopes is that they are generally weaker in construction and a bit of a knock sends them well off target. on a slightly different note years back i had a leupold scope on my 22, fell down a hill and snapped it in two right behind the turrets. anyway i sent it back to leupold and asked how much to repair if it was possible. they sent me a brand new scope back !!!

All the specs are on here - Rimfire Scopes | Long Range Rifle Scopes from Nikon
Parallax is set to 50 yards - you might also want to check the reticle is ok for you (their bdc one which ties into thier spot on balistics calculator).
In terms of dealing with Brownells they were too easy (didnt actually have to deal with anyone). Placed order, received confirmation and another email when it shipped. No paperwork or permits.
