    Scopes

Thinking about changing Scope, reason being my Sako 85 in 308 is a hunting rifle and this scope suits Tactical more. Love this Scope, but trying to lose some weight.

On offer is a basically near new, never been hunting (Vortex Viper PST Gen II 3-15x44 FFP EBR-2C MRAD with a vortex bubble level & defender scope caps)

What Iím interested in is (Swarovski 3x18 Z5 ballast turret)

Easier if interested person is in ChCh Canterbury.

Taken a few photos & now I look at it more there is some the scratches, from too many rifles in a small safe, so safe queens get knocked around to.
"Tip" buy a neoprene cover to use in the safe, never really thought about it with such good lens covers - Bugger.
Still an amazing Scope, had the gen 1 which I complained about the glass, so upgraded to the gen 2 which is a huge step up,glass wise and reticle is perfect for long range precision, tiny gap, especially good as ffp crosshairs get bigger with magnification, but love the no brainer of not having to worry about the point of impact, no matter what the magnification.
This the only scope I have ever owned, that dials as you would expect it to, and I mostly use the hold overs, as not into playing with my knob.
Rather than all the hassle of selling and pissing around prefer the swop.

Can I suggest that your unlikely to find anyone keen to swap you a Swaro for a Vortex, your better off putting a price on it and selling then buying the scope you want.
No hate just a little friendly advice.....also along with a price pics are required for all sale, swap threads around here

Tried to put in a picture, will try again.
New prices are not that far removed, Vortex with extras $1950 / Z5 $2050 negotiable to top up. You don't ask you don't getName: 20200222_160340.jpg

I have a Leupold VX3i 4.5 - 14, capped turrets, Boon and Crockett game hunting reticle (hold over marks out to 550 yards) that i had for a Semi that was handed in, would come with a one piece warne precision mount, neoprene cover, box and manual.

I am looking to swap this out for a vortex scope that is more tactical so would be interested if you are.

My scope retails for a little less than yours, one piece mount is worth considerably more than rings though.

    Retails:

Leupold = $1399, Warne one piece mount $349
    Vortex = $1798, scope bubble $60

Sorry Guys -- sort of all hooked up on the Swarovski 3x18 Z5 ballistic turret, combination of magnification & weight, believe they are assembled in the states these days. Thanks for all your interest & replies.

I'd say trademe is your best bet mate, the swaros are a wicked scope and you'll get better money for your vortex

Yes Thanks, rig easily shoots quarter inch, perhaps I'm missing the elephant in the room, maybe I would be better to lose a few pounds. Do like FFPName: 20200222_160227.jpg

yip it would be easier to loose pounds off my puku than off any gear I choose to carry...and would be better for me.
for what its worth......you like the scope you have....your rifle likes it too...you shoot well with it....3x is USUALLY plenty low enough for hunting purposes....
