    Siltarp 2

    Hey guys,

Before I go and buy new from overseas, has anyone got a Siltarp 2 they want to move on?

    Cheers,

What does it weigh and how well does it pack down? Comparable to the Siltarp?

Weighs 525grams and if it was rolled up tight it'd be about the size of a 750ml pump bottle, maybe a touch over. Pretty similar to the siltarp 2, just a bit bigger at 3mx3m compared with 2.5m x 3m IIRC. Built like a brick toilet.

Dare I mention the other forum, but this is the discussion around it. FishnHunt - New Zealands Famous Hunting and Fishing Forum Since 1995 - Made in NZ Silnylon Tarps or Offshore

Moontrail.com for $218 seems a bit steep hence trying my luck second hand

TwinNeedle sold. Could have sold it half a dozen times over, TN should do another run of them.

I use a 3x3 tarp from Aliexpress. Under $50 delivered.($95 on trade me at present)
Weighs a little more but its thick and strong so I don't mind giving it a hard time. One configuration I use has the tarp in a triangle with one side of the tarp as a floor, and I don't worry about putting a hole in it when its on the floor.
Specs from Aliexpress, I haven't weighed it to confirm the weight.

Start a thread in the bulk buy section and see if there's enough interest for @twinneedle to do a run?
Might save a few from having to go offshore and help out a kiwi company that's been good to us

They don't but a bulk order can cut the cost for both them and us potentially.

Hi All, we would love to look at doing these again but sourcing good fabric for the job is the issue, hence why we stopped making them. We have access to good fabric but the costs were ridiculous and buy the time we landed it, sewn them up it was around $250 for a 3 x 3, hence we pulled pin. Sorry guys, would love to help but not much we can do here now. I would suggest looking at the Sil Tarp people in the U.S and see if you can get a bulk order discount....
