Slip on suppressor for .22 wanted

Has anyone got one sitting around not getting used?

It's for my Dads Winchester which I refurbished and I don't really want to thread the barrel.

How? I have one for my CZ but have been scared to use it with high velocity stuff and haven't found any accurate subs. Will I stuff it if I use the HV ammo?

I always ran hv through my one and it went fine, I made it quieter by cutting the end off it and putting sleeping mat foam around the inside of it and taping it up again. It took away the "smacking a plastic pipe with a stick " noise

    Hi Dougie
My Bruno wouldn't group well on 40gn win, yet it liked the 42 win and the CCI 40gn.all ammo needs checked out, as it pays in the long run to find ammo that works well.
I used Fiocchi for awhile it had speed, it didn't stuff the suppressor,
But at the end of the day you can get expensive ammo, which to a rabbit it makes no differance if the bullet isn't quite holding hands
I found that the CCI runs well and the win 42gn in sub not expensive as some, and if the pests aren't hit right will not go to far.

I know this isn.t helping you JoshC, I seam to remember that they are built to each rifle and model ie Bruno bolt action or auto 511etc.
I think that right! its been along time since I gave up on the plastic pipe ,someone will have the info on that.

The plastic suppressor that came with my JW is only the length and diameter of a bic lighter and has had many many thousands of rounds of sub, high and hyper velocity threw it.
Its fine and works the same as it always did.

I have had one of those made-in-Nelson Silent Kill plastic , slip on silencer on my .22 for probably 25 years and it is still functioning just fine . Having said that , the rifle has only ever had standard velocity ammo through it so it hasnt had the hard life that others may have.

I have a slip on plastic can I brought before I got my Ruger 10/22 which came with a steel threaded can so I have no need of the slip on plastic.

the silent kill ones are good but made for each different barrel profile so you need to get the right one. If its not desighned for hv chances are it might not last as long as if subs were used maybe the plastic wont handle the pressure as well
