    Standard AR trigger

Handed in a AR with a custom trigger and they will not pay for trigger without original trigger. So if anyone is going to hand in a trigger on its own. Can I hand it in please.

What about those of us who ditched the front plastic 2 piece grip and put on a free float one? Going to get same thing?

Yep. Got a note on another with free float forend and low profile gas block. It's a pre Windhim Bushmaster which I've modified to similar specs to the Vex. But they look at the writing on the lower and start arguing from there.

Thats the deal, firearm must be 100% operable and any custom bits currently on the firearm to make it functional are classed as standard. You will get paid $105 for the standard trigger if you have it as a spare. Suggest you swap out the custom and present it as such.

Been through this. I was lucky enough to find my old trigger by pure chance. I thought I biffed it. I said I had the receipt. It meant nothing to them. Police don't give receipts or deal with products. They provide a regulatory backdrop to black markets. Confiscation is all they know.

This would have to be one of the dumbest of their rulings. As I asked, "why can't your experts tell it is a Timney" and the reply I got "They can't remove it". Some experts.

Not true, they will pay you for the custom if you have the original loose with the gun. You do not need to swap them over. Have done this with 3 rifles. Ditto free float hand guards with 2 piece guards loose with the gun.

Call the shops, they will have them and can't get rid of them. Can they sell you one? No idea.

Only going on what they told me at my time of handing in when I questioned it. I think how you described, should be how its handled.
