    Steel gongs

Is there anyone on the forum who makes and sells gongs?

A while back there were a few people on here who were selling AR500 gongs, I have a mate who is after some.

Failing that I'll just tell him to try some local engineering places.

    Thanks

I do a few different target systems. They are also available through gun city. The Punisher targets. The ones I sell direct have a different stand system.
Iím located in be South Island.
I donít sell unfinished targets by themselves only complete sets.

@McNotty in Welly donated one for the Toby shoot (AR500) and we also used some from @Cowboy06 at the shoot cowboys are very easy to set up
I'd recommend either of these guys

@Beetroot what are you after mate? Size and what calibre is he shooting?
If you know an engineer who gets a good discount at Fletchers they can cut you some. Think 300 x 300 AR500 10 mm was costing around $53 incl. and that's with holes cut for straps or chains

Biggest cal he shoots is 284win, and would need to be good at 100m.
I'll do some digging and see what local places can do.

Are companies happy to just cut you a few 300x300 squares?
Every time I've bought steel you have to buy the whole sheet.

Nah you wouldn't buy a sheet of hardened steel, they normally come in 6 metre sheets and cost thousands. Fletchers happily cut whatever size you want, but you really need the discount to make it worth while. Like Gibo said, if Mucko is just over hill and has 20mm 450 you could shoot that with anything.
Steel targets nz are also pretty reasonably priced and straight to your door.

Had some plates made up from local engineering outfit in Nelson recently and got several quotes but ended up with 16mm bizalloy plates one 500mm squared and other 350mm square and they cost $350 for both. Have shot 50 bmg at 400 yards at the big target and made slight indentation as was curious to see what if any damage was caused.
