    Sten Mk2 smg

For sale is a Sten Mk2 smg. In excellent working order. Maunfactured during ww2, comes with one magazine.

I'm on holiday and the picture comes from the internet, but its the same type and finish etc. PM me for actual photos if you're seriously interested.

Selling as I'm on holiday and want to go on another holiday so genuine reason.

    C cat of course.

    $2500.

And to think the Auckland gas company's engineering dept was geared up to make them for less than 10 shillings each. Now thats a capital gain.

The NZ manufactured Stens (1,000 Mk II ARMAF by Precision Engineering, Wellington, and 10,000 NZ LP by the Radio Corporation of NZ, Wellington) are worth much more than the common Pommy ones! The survival of the NZ made Stens is very low, certainly not more than 10 of either type, and probably considerably less.

Shame about the full auto. Could make useful pig guns with 10 round mags.

What's with the turned-in muzzle end of the barrel? Was it intended to be fitted with a Lee Enfield No 4 front sight or was it simply for lightening. Oh, forgot, it's an internet stock picture.

The Mk II in the stock photo has been retro-fitted with a MK III barrel. Not uncommon with post-war rebuilds.

You have to get very close to dispatch decent sized pigs with a 9mm, and then with a head shot.

Saw a tv show once based in Hawaii, the guy was hunting with dogs, knife, and a 10mm glock on the hip.

There is a BIG difference in the performance of 9mm Para (115 grain bullet at 1200 fps) and the 10mm (200 grain bullet at 1200 fps). The 10mm has almost double the energy of the 9mm.

Yup, hence why I thought that was a great idea.

Nothing stopping you just making a semi only one and use cut down mags, they are crazy easy to make and the plans are only a google away

It's on the Bucket List. Interestingly more difficult to make semi than auto.

E-Cat registration? Make up your own serial number?

    Dam double posts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You will have to add 2 mm only to make it 762 mm

BTW if you decided you wanted it rifled, would @homebrew.357 be able to make a rifled barrel?

    @300CALMAN @res

Could get a usable 7.62x25TOK barrel from an SMLE-shortening project. The better caliber where there's no Hague convention against hollow points. I'd go with MAC-10 type mag feed lips.
