    Survival kits

    Hey all,

If you haven't seen this website before I believe this guy makes the best and actually most useful survival kits you would ever need. Unlike some of the garbage they try and sell on TM these days. However he doesnt do international shipping unless he has a bulk order. So im throwing out the opportunity, if anyone wants stuff off his website hit me up and ill put a bulk order through.

For a start a survival kit should be in something bright coloured. There's no size or weight mentioned that is can see.

They seem to be missing a few decent first aid bits and pieces.

The best survival Kit is one you have put together yourself, ready made kits in my opinion are a waste of time.

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

If your out shooting your already in/carrying a "survival kit". I think those kits are more suited to Alaskan bush pilots or something.

Some good ideas in there eg the recipro saw blade as a poor man's bushsaw - wrap ya paracord around one end as a handle and you'd be in business

Rather than import I'd be inclined to make my own

For what it is worth I like things doing "double duty" eg I take a small container of liquid hand steriliser for use when I'm about to gut a deer and since it is alcohol-based it does a great job of working as firelighting gel

There is a good "what do you carry?" thread or two on here that covers a lot of the essentials
