Built this 2 years ago. Solid lockable camping trailer or tradies trailer.
3.9m long. 5ft wide. Compartment is 6x4. All galvanised steel and 2mm checkerplate.
Treadplate has been sikaflex bonded and stainless steel riveted to the steel frame.
The lid has gas strut opening. Two locking stainless steel catches and has a rubber seal to keep rain and dust out.
The back door is side opening, has two lockable catches and a rubber seal too.
The trailer has LED lights at rear, and LED reversing lights for backing into garage or campsite. It also has LED front facing running lights on the outerframe.
Currently it has a frame for 4 bikes on the drawbar. This can be unbolted if not required. The drawbar was made long to aid reversing, and to make sure my Surf spare wheel would swing open even if the bikes were on the trailer.
The rear of the trailer has drop down legs for level adjust when unhitched.
The trailer also has removable boat/ladder racks which are high enough to allow the lid to open up, and keep anything on top of the racks above the rear vision mirror in the truck.
Currently the trailer also has a mount for 4kg LPG bottle and water drum (which I put my didymo cleaner and fishing boots into - to clean while driving).
The spare wheel is mounted under the A-frame and held in place with a Falcon winch mechanism.
The trailer is unbraked. It runs on falcon pattern wheels with commercial tyres.
I have receipts for over $5k on the build. It's currently registred but not WOF'd, as I don't WOF it over the winter while its in my garage.
If you're interested in buying, contact me and we can talk turkey. No tire kickers. Selling to fund a cage trailer and clear space in the garage for my quad. If it doesn't sell I'll break out the anglegrinder and modify it to fit the quad.
