We have been asked so many times and we have not been able to locate a source. Hopefully someone on here has a spare for you. If not, the easiest way to keep these old 17s shooting is to get a piece of polyethelene (White) chopping board or similar, (A chunk of mussel float will work too) and shave a fake magazine out of it. This way you can fill the mag well with a piece of plastic enabling you to use it as a single shot. These were accurate enough tht one shot would usually hit the target. By doing it this way, if you ever do locate a spare magazine, you can simply remove the fake one and use the real one.

Up side is a fake magazine can be stored with the rifle as it is not a magazine and it is still a single shot.

    All the best.

I had to do that with my 788 in 222. Works well enough but would love to find a mag for it.

I have heard that there was a mag that could be altered to fit but have never seen it done successfully. Worth a shot, especially if 2nd hand mags pull $120 each.

I have two but they don't seem like they are worth selling even though that it is ridiculous to think they are worth $120!?!
What do the rifles sell for these days?
