    Toz 78 scope mount

I know this is a long shot but would rather avoid going through the import permit debacle. If anyone has this specific scope mount take my $$

I am pretty sure I have 30mm rings that fit but I confess I have never seen those. I also have a couple of one piece mounts if that is what you want, but we dont generally use them on 22s as they usually end up too high, especially if you want to use the 78s open sights ....Are you still enjoying the rifle?

I was hoping you'd see this 6 years of owning this toz has been great. Don't regret buying her one bit. As you can see I have rings already attached with a cheap scope(which is being upgraded this month. The problem lies in the front and rear iron sight. You can see the front sight through the scope and the rear sight is unusable with a scope on it. Hence this scope mount would be the most convenient mount for my requirements.

Even if someone aint selling one of their own, just a point in the right direction for where to buy locally/nationally would be a great help. If not, I'll be applying for a import permit for a bloody scope mount

The rear sight is easily removed if that helps, The two pins clearly visible in the close up just tap out with a punch and the sight slides forward on the dovetail. The fore sight will come off as well but it is not an easy task as it is pushed / pressed on with some force. We removed one on one of the earlier (untreaded) toz rifles so we could move it further back and thread in front of it. But that involved more work that we would normally suggest.

A higher magnification scope such as a 4-12x and you will likely not see the fore sight. That one you have looks to be about 2x or 2.5x .....? And the rings you have should cope with up to a 40mm objective by the look of them. I might , just might have some peep through rings that is your preference, and if not I certainly have some higher ones. Before you spend a heap, I would suggest trying a bigger magnification scope first to see if that helps.
