I better put that Win mod 94 44/40 back on the selling block along with a couple of others.
I have a Fulton regulated No4 Mk2 that doesn't really fit in. Any idea how much that is worth?

The stock on the Jap rifles were made in two halves for some reason it looks like a crack but its not, mines the same. I think it had something to do with them not having access to full sized blank wood stocks so two were spliced together.

That's right mate, the grain on the wood they had wasn't great to make full stocks so the place where they split they put an opposing grained piece of wood.

I read somewhere that the wood on those stocks is from NZ and the split is something to do with the size of the supplied timber etc.
Pretty sure Im not imagining this, but cant remember the details or where i fot it from.
    Anyone else know anything?
