    US Dollars

    Anyone require US dollars?
One of my kids returned home recently with some of her wages in cash.
The currency exchange outfits screw you both ways (buying and selling), so I see an opportunity to swap without the middle man taking a slice.
    PM me if interested.
    Cheers

    It sucks balls alright.
I exchanged all my US for Canadian and it was an awesome rate over there.
Left it in the bank there. The Canadian was $1.22 NZ when I left. Now its just about even coz of that priss PM of there's pissing off Trump. However still better to exchange it there. They're just asshole thieves here as far as exchange goes.

I send money home from overseas a fair bit and have taken to using brokers.
Banks take an average of 6cents on the dollar then charge $40 bucks for the service. Its just theft imo. A computer transaction can't cost that much.

Good brokers will take a around $15 fee and 1 cent off the dollar.

Sorry not much use to me at present.
All my foreign currency transactions are done with Transferwise, $5k cists me less than $30, most times it's done inside a few hours, best has been 11mins.

Great idea, we'd need to build re-education camps for them. Probably be 2/3 of our population lol.

Often places that don't charge a fee just give you a crappier rate.
There is pretty much no way to avoid the daylight robbery, unless you buy some Bitcoin and get a friend in the country of choice to get it exchanged to local currency.
Which is neither easy nor practical to do and you have to hope the price in Bitcoin doesn't change throughout all of that.

Check the rates at our nearest Casino...It may sound daft, but they do often have good rates to encourage tourists to swap over to local $$$ for a punt. They dont usually keep foreign currency but I know if you sell them foreign, and you finish playing they will let you buy it back at the same rate up to your original amount. Not quite sure where you are but I suspect Hamilton is your closest. Still be cheaper to do it at a local bank than spend any time traveling just to swap it though.

As a fashion statement, 24 carat gold jewellery looks great when traveling internationally.
