    Vortex scope

Im in the market for my 1st scope. Looking at vortex scopes, seem to be good bang for buck. Heard a few people with great experiences with them.
Low budget up to $400. Have 30mm and 1inch rings so can consider either option.
Not needing high magnification just needs to work well in the bush.

I think the glass is made in different countries based on price so cheaper is china and Philippine's then Japan for vortex's more expensive scope ( think that includes the viper) . don't quote me though. if yo want lots of good reading

Still browsing around at the moment guys. Thought i would go straight to the horse's mouth for the difference from various vortex models. Also thought I'd try my luck to see if they sell refurbished scopes from the factory. Which they do not unfortunately.

    My Question to Vortex
"What is the difference in the Crossfire II, Diamondback, and Viper range?
Take for instance comparing a 3-9x40 in all the models, obviously the viper would be the most expensive over the diamondback and crossfire, but why? "

    Riley Arnold from vortex said.
" Thank you for reaching out to us and for your support. As you move up in price within the optic categories you get a better optical system. Which means better coatings, lenses and better low light performance. Also as you move up in the lines you will gain more features like illuminated reticles, more travel, exposed turrets, and MOA or MRAD options. "

I've been on opticplant to consider my options. Looks like around $350NZD shipped could get either

    Crossfire II range
    Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x44
Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x40 Adjustable Objective
Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x50 Adjustable Objective

    Diamondback range
    Vortex Diamondback 3-9x40
    Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40

Any opinions on these? anyone have both crossfires and diamondback scopes?

@Projects the Viper you have been offered is a very good deal, a diamondback 4-12 @ $400 is a good deal but a viper @$400 is a steal mate. Better than all options listed above after shipping.

I wouldn’t touch another crossfire, sent a few back after issues. Diamondbacks are good quality.

Thanks @300_BLK thats the kinda response i was hoping to get. Some bad truths about peoples experiences.
I'm seriously considering the viper offer as the bush hunting ill be doing i dont think I'll need more than a 3-9.
