What's it like in low light dawn/sunset ? Is the illumination adjustable ?

Ive never looked at it low light. Took it out of the box once and only 2nd time to take photos. Never put the battery in it.
But yes to illumination control.
ooops, sorry just saw the label on the box re illumination (yes I am an idiot) ..I also meant to ask are the "cross hairs" visible during daylight without the illumination on like a standard scope or does it need to be lit ? possibly another stupid question...... I have no experience with these types of scopes sorry....

Yeah you dont need them to be illuminated. its a really good reticle. I would love it in a scope with higher magnification. 3-18 would be awesome.
And just to answer a question that has been asked, this has been brought in thru Extravision in Aussie, the australian agent. Its not a "grey" import into NZ. Hope that helps.
Warrantee is valid.

First Focal Plane?
30mm tube?
yep 30mm tube and 2nd focal. Shoot it both eyes open on 1 and field of view will be amazing if it is anything like the 1-4 pST i used to use. Running game is unreal. That "donut of death" reticle as i called it just works. You seem to somehow put the reticle on the animal without thinking. I shot 2 running wallabys with 3 rounds in front of a film crew and really pissed off the camera man because it all happened so fast and he didnt catch a thing!

Just to add to this, Vortex honours the warranty on all their products no matter where it was bought from or how old it is. If the local dealer gives you any crap about this get hold of Vortex in the USA and they will sort it out for you.
