    VX-6 2-12 CDS

I'm asking $1300 for it. I will throw in the alumina lens covers and a Leupold neoprene cover. The scope itself is in perfect condition, only thing would be two or three very small rub marks on the edge of the windage cap knurling. See pics below.

Just one thing to note with the alumina eyepiece cover. This is nothing to do with the scope, just the cover - the thread bottoms out just a fraction too soon which means you can rotate the cover by hand. It works fine - it's 100% solidly connected to the scope, it closes and opens properly, and seals properly - but it isn't locked firmly in place. It's a bit hard to explain. If you've ever used a Nightforce with those plastic covers which have to rotate on the eyepiece because the whole eyepiece moves when you change magnification, and you need to recentre the cover after changing mag, it's a bit like that. I spoke to the wholesaler at Asia 2000 and he said if I wanted to send it in through a retailer they'd replace it, but it doesn't actually bother me so I left it. I just packed it with a bit of electrical tape to make it stay firmly in place. In some ways it's quite handy. I've tried to show this in another pic - you can see a little bit of electrical tape poking out from under where the cover screws into place. Like I say, it's kind of hard to describe but it's not a biggie. Anyway, for that reason I'm not even charing for the cover, just throwing it in, which keeps it simple. Saddle mount not included!

Has a standard duplex reticle, which is awesome for hunting - stands out clearly against any background. Lovely generous eyebox. Clear, sharp and bright. I've compared it to a Nightforce NSX 3-15 x 56 and in a totally unscientific test it held its own in evening light. I love this scope, but my ageing eyes need side focus.
