    wanted a compound bow.

my thirteen year old has a fascination for bow hunting.
I know absolutely nothing about it.
he needs a bow that goes upto 60lbs and down to 30 approx.
aprox 24 inch draw so I'm told by the 13 year old.
Looking second hand with all the fruit that's needed to get going.
    what's out there?

buy a quality brand if he is serious, i've seen people put off archery because they bought crap that was inaccurate to say the least. i got my buckmaster 70lb split limp for swapping a cheap 223 for it.
also i recommend carbon arrows over alluminium as they keep straight and dont warp.

Last time I was in Cash n trade here,he had a Mission craze, for $399,was the whole kit, quiver, peep, glow sight pins and whisker rest,I had to slap my self several times last week.
Can look if it's still there tomorrow
    And release aid.
Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out." -

And don't try to shoot Hares through a fence, carbon arrows disappear in a cloud of black dust.

He's not left handed is he? Do an eye dominance test.

I'm right handed or ambidextrous in everything bar shooting sports and pool. Left eye dominant though so can't shoot right handed.

I wouldn't buy a bow that you don't know the full history, could have stuffed limbs etc if not been looked after

Your mate would prob know more than me, and it does sound like a good deal. It's just I've always be taught that bow limbs can damage pretty easily, a few dry fires etc and they get hair line cracks in the limbs
