Dose any one have a spare one that they could part with, I plan to make my own tube.

There's not really any such thing? Get a normal barrel nut from Digit and make your tube to fit it
I had a carbon fibre F/float made up and the guy doing it made the barrel nut too.
Yeah i made one a few years ago, it was a lot of work... but i got the weight down to less than 80grams for the entire forend including barrel nut.
Did the entire job in a lathe, mounted indexing head on saddle and put drill bit in chuck.
Will try find a pic later on

Thanks for all the replys Guys. I have a barrel nut without the delta gear on. I have lathe mill etc, was hoping that I could draw insperation from many enlightened people.
I have got hooked on these black jobbies and have 20" Hbar complete and now have 16" upper intending to make my own free float, but as said draw insperation from you lot.
To KJ did you make the barrel nut from aluminium or steel, how did it last.
.
The barrel nut was machined from alloy and is working great. All the aftermarket ones are alloy too, so no different.
With your skills (i remember your lee enfield conversion and suppressor) you'd piss through it in no time. The only issue i had was that the ID of the carbon tube was real tight and only just cleared the holes around the circumfrance for the gas tube...only just.
Well well who would have known it, yes I have joined the dark side. Now the mods come thick and fast.
The latest 762x39 is a 1/3 shorter and a kg lighter and shoots 212g lead bullets with 8g of trail boss into 3/4" groups.
As to free float probably alloy tube threded to the barrel nut that I will make.
