Cool wanted leupold vx1 4-12x40 Long range reticle gloss finish

as per title I am on the look out for a Leupold vx1 4-12 long range reticle in gloss finish to go on my Finnbear, would consider others of similar nature, looking for something nice and clear that won't look Bubba on my classic rifle
    based in North Canterbury
    thanks
    Danny

I have a Gloss VX2 3-9x40 that I was looking to upgrade at some stage.
Has a few minor scuff marks, mainly on the dial caps from the gun safe door but has lived its life mainly on my .22lrs.
    Still has original box.

A friend has a mint 4-12 vx2 with holdover dots. PM if you want details. But shouldn't you be looking for an old Kahles for the Sako ??

Old kahles are a bit like rocking horse shit and twice as pricey..... but would consider if one came up

They do exist, would love an old kahles or doctor but I I'm a little limited on options especially if I want to keep the original sako rings

In the era of your Sako a Pecar with post and cross reticle was a common choice. But a Kahles or Docter is a much better scope. Although most of these were 1980's and a bit later than your rifle they would still be appropriate. What ever you get, if it was me I would go for a scope with a No. 4 Reticle that is fast to use for snap shots and close bush work as this is where the old Sako stock shape is in it's element
