As an aside, I found that Lapua did a run of 7mm Rem Mag brass for the FBI. Wish they did some more. Did not know Sako did/does.

I had some Sako .222 loaded ammo that I sold with a .222 I had.

Strange that we don't see the brass here. I imagine it's pretty decent.

Thanks James, Kevin Thomas from Lapua USA said Norma made that batch of brass for them as they dont have the capability to draw belted cases in their machines.

I would like to try Sako brass as it is harder and more resilient than Norma brass.

I might have found some brand new Sako Brass in the UK, lets see if it arrives, then I will post a link to it.

The Sako brass arrived no problems at all. Quality is first class and hardness is on a par with Nickel plated Winchester brass so they should last well.
Neck wall thickness and case wall expansion on once fired brass is uniform and consistant.
The primer and flash holes are perfect.

I put a small VLD chamfer on the inside of the case mouth and testing at 1000yrds proved accuracy is identical to batch sorted Hornady/Nosler/Norma brass.

Sako brass can be ordered from this link.

Lapua never made 7 mm rem mag brass, accuracy international commissioned Lapua to make 7 mm rem mag brass for their sniper rifles and the FBI asked them as well, they responded by getting Norma to make it for them operating under their extremely strict quality control, it carried the Lapua headstamp.

We can easily get Norma 7 mm rem mag brass here and its great in my long throated sako Finnlight.
