    Weatherby MK V

Weatherby Mark V Ultralight in .270 Win.

    Shoots well with Norma 130s.

Comes with the Conetrol rings and fluted bases. (approx $600.00).

    Scope not included.

Selling to fund another rifle... I go through rifles like pairs of socks.

    $2350...but I'm open to offers.

Will do both scope and rifle for 3k.

Scope on its own: $900. Immaculate condition, 4A reticle.

Rifle on its own (plus rings/mounts) $2300

Bump, or I'll chuck both the scope and rifle on trademe.

Scope is in immaculate condition. The rifle is slightly worn from use, but only 150 shots have been through it, and I'm anal about keeping the bore nice and shiny.

    Scope weight: 12 ounces
Rifle weight: 92 ounces (approx 5.7 pounds)
    And rings/bases: 4 ounces
    Everything together: 6.5 pounds

    Bump. $1680 for bare rifle.

    These go for $3800 new.

Shoots sub MOA with Federal PowerPoint. Light as a feather.

W'by MKV Ultralights are damn fine rifles - have a couple myself & love them.
Don't want to rain on your parade but 2nd MkV is unlikely to fetch the coin you're seeking. Purchased mine 2nd hand over past couple of years - one cost under $1000 and was in brand new condition, the other ~$1250 from memory.
There was a similar MkV on sale in past 6 mo or so, advertised for around $1500 - not sure if it sold at that or not.
The MkV does not get the attention or wraps it deserves in NZ. I guess that new price puts a lot of new rifle buyers off, and there for there aren't a lot of them around.

Correct me if I am wrong - but this is a Ultralight - not a Vanguard
How can a 3-4K rifle New only be 1K used ??
    I am slightly confused - again ??
    Expert help needed again :-)

The rifle comes with Conetrol rings and fluted bases (they're about 600 bucks) - so 1550 is a bloody bargain.

    Bump.

You Tikka/Sako sluts have no idea how much of a bargain this is.

I hear your frustration - but most things today are "fashion followed"
Have you heard the saying "you can lead a horse to water - but you cannot make it drink"

I understand the Sako chaps being sticklers - but Tikka - this would eat one of them, maybe 270 not in fashion now ?
Don't buckle or stress - 1 day someone will come along and get a 3.5K rifle for less than half price

We all know I need this about as much as I need a hole in the head (which would possibly happen if I bought it courtesy of my lovely wife..) so somebody put me out of my misery and buy it. These are badass rifles light as anything and nice action to use.

I would have been keen too - but I jaust last week got Philipo's Kimber Montana - which I am 1000% stoked with - finally found the perfect rifle for an old fella !!

I have never handled one of these Weatherby Ultralights - but apparently very similar in weight/balance etc
