    Welder

Ok I'm going to make man stuff, apparently i need a welder, MIG? TIG?

Prefer closer to CHCH as the things look heavy and freights going to be a bugger, happy to pick up for the right deal.......willing to trade stuff or do cash!

what type of man stuff you may ask, well winch and bars etc for my truck, and then, well god only knows

    Cheers

    Get a mig to start
Strata ones seem to be good for the money
Just like guns and glass spend abit more now rather than buying 2 is the advice I'm going to give

If you just want to stick some bits of metal together get a mig.

If you want to learn how to weld get a stick/tig inverter.

    Hiya Fella,

Just joined the website to answer this thread. I have a GR Young & Co Arc welder with all the accessories.

Prob over 200 rods of different types.
2 boxes of Clamps and brackets to help hold the project in place.
    Visor with spare lens.
    Single phase.
Two trolleys to move it about on.
    Welding hammer
    Gas cutting leads and handles
    Welding work bench.

Everything was given to me to get going but it was a skill I just never had the time to learn. I have been told it's fully functional and have no reason to disbelieve this.

The only thing I think you would poss need is a new set of gloves.

I have had a mate who is into his welding look at it and he reckons that it's well worth $500 or more as a complete kit. I'm a family man and I know it can be difficult to raise funds for a new project. I'm happy to trade it for a centerfire of almost any calibre if you have something in the back of a cupboard you haven't used in a few years. One of my kids will eventually benefit from it.

I'm in Dunedin so it's only a 3-4 hour drive for you and if you want it, will chuck in a bacon roll with it too.

    Regards,

    JK
