What bolt is this out of?

This bolt has been lying around for some time, I have no idea what it is out of...if I did know then maybe I could track down where it might have come from.

Yes. Single shot savage .22. One has been in our family four generations.

The front end looks similar design to a Savage Mk2 but the back half is different - possibly an earlier Savage or predecessor? The Mk2 started out as a Lakefield 22 from memory.

I handed mine onto my daughter and grandson, so do not have it with me; but, as I recall, it is a model 1.

Thanks also for the information from everyone, I can now toss it back in the box of bits-n-pieces...that left side extractor maybe broken as there is still a piece in there.

I don't think it is broken, there is a spring & plunger, then the extractor pushes back & down, so I think it has popped out & you have spring & plunger/retaining pin there ?

I see what you mean, yeah it is spring loaded...damn near stabbed myself testing it with a knife...that piece may have popped out a long time ago.

We’re looking for a Remington Sportmaster 512 .22 bolt for a NZDA Heritage Trust rifle at the moment if anyone’s got one for sale.
