    Winchester Mod 67 .22 Wanted

After a nice example of the single shot rifle.

Me old grandad had one and its what I learnt to shoot with 50-odd years ago.

If its rough and rusty i dont need it ;-)

My 2nd 22 I ever owned before I had a fal (to young) my club used to hold my ruger 10/22 and Winchester 67 in the club safe
    Those were the days
When I turned 16 and got my license it came home briefly
But I sold it to my English teacher at school lol

Bloody good gun I miss it

I have one. But it's been scoped and suppressed.
    Plus the barrels been ported.

    That's the one.
Considering keeping it. It's a very accurate 22.

I have more than enough 22's with silencers of various types already . Just on a nostalgia kick at present - and some other undeserving family member ended up with what was meant to be MY rifle back then so , ooriginal for me , all the way

Amazing coincidence but I was in the Hamills sports store in Rangiora today and there was a pretty tidy one on there rack.
Bluing pretty good, dark stock with a couple of small marks but still pretty good. Not Minta but not that buggered either.
What are they worth and what's your budget?
They had $199 on it, is that good?

thats more than I had in mind , given that its at least a 55 year old rifle and potentially over 80 years old .

I was looking more in the $130 - $150 bracket but thats cos I am a notorious tightwad. But I can be swayed by the right rifle....

I wonder if they have a web page ?

Maybe open to offers but it was pretty tidy and you are paying retail price over a private sale.
Just had a look-not even on there. maybe worth a call? If its too dear it wont shift anyway.

I shall call them tomorrow, mate . They may be able to supply me some pics and negotiate the price to a more acceptable figure .

Its a bugger having Scottish ancestry on one side and Jewish on the other ......

199 I would Imagine is quite a steep price for 67 I think that $100 or under would be reasonabley fair for a good one it is after all just an old single shot 22 but then again if you buy for dealer you always pay top dollar but hey if it something that you really want this price really doesn’t matter

An update - acting on csmiffy's information I contacted Hamills in Rangiora , they sent me some pics , I talked to Ash from there and he gave a very good description of the rifle , and based on that information we negotiated a price that was satisfactory to both of us.

And a mate from Chch is going to collect it form at the weekend.

So , thanks for everyones help - especially csmiffy. If we ever cross paths the beer is on me mate , much obliged .
