Doesn't H&F have a sharp deal on them at the moment?

I've worn it down from general use carry and rubbing on pack over last 4 years. Mostly swell and butt, some rubber coming up. Also only pillar bedded and not ridged enough. Could stiffen with fill however still a nasty stock. Hogue was better than the factory mod 70 stock though that the rifle came with. They are flimsy and poorly made with little support for recoil lug.

An alloy chasis, poly field stock (like my tikka b&c) will last forever and I LOVE the winchester rifles no intention of giving it up.

The current Winchester Model 70 Extreme Weather SS come with a Bell and Carlson stock.

Model 70 Extreme Weather SS, Ultimate wet weather Bolt Action Deer Elk Big Game Rifle hunting whitetail mule -- Winchester Repeating Arms -- Product Model

Not sure if this would work but may be worth a look. B&C model #2971

    New Winchester Medalist Stock

This stock is similar to the current Winchester "Extreme Weather" Stock.

#7775 Winchester Model 70 Short Action. Will fit WSM models with some barrel inletting required. Fits sporter style (POST 64) SHORT ACTION with one-piece hinged floorplate. It does not accommodate the 2 piece floor plate without the addition of a spacer. One can be found at Winchester Gun Parts (NO CHECKERING).
