    They are worth big $s if in their orginal cal (.284 I think) regardless of condition (almost)

    Your asking price is not unreasonable for it, it looks to be a pre 64, replacement barrel and a refinished stock & checkering and a new scope.
    It's just one of those rifles that needs the right person looking for one.
    Even if I hadn't just picked one up, I would feel guilty treating this one the way I'm going to treat my one.

    would have suited me being a leftie but gone for a tikka left handed, would prob have prefered this as its the right calibre and i dont have a lever action in the safe at the moment. not going to be seeing the tikka, even though we know they are worth more second hand!
