    WTB ar15 handguard

Looking for a handguard, free floating, something like the r15 style, but not camo. Light is good.

Dont really want a rail type handguard.

    Cheers

I was in the same boat, don't really like the Rail forend, and couldn't find one I liked, so I got one machined to suit a Adams Arms barrel nut I had acquired and then painted it, would have powdercoated it but the place up here wasn't open back then!! It came out mint and was less than 200 finished, and that was the nut and paint and paying the engineer with money, not beer. Don't know any machinist types by chance?Name: SANY0061 small.jpg

A2 is clamshells but rifle length

You can go any length, Dremel down your fsb (do you have an fsb or what?)

Fsb = front sight block, the triangle front sight gas block

Oh, you might want a low-pro gas block then, unless it's feasible to cut that down. Is it pinned on or set screw?

I see you are in Chch. I know gunworks used to do plain ones similar to mine except rifle length, I attempted to get Robbie to cut one down but he didn't think it would survive for some reason unknown to me, they used to be on trademe for around 180 don't quote me. may be just what you are after

Hows that one? $55us + $40us postage max and 2 weeks later its on your doorstep. If you need a gasblock then you might be able to slip one in there with the $45us you have left to play with.

What is the story with importing ar parts now? I did look at this option when I wanted one but it seemed like a huge fuckaround with permits etc?
