Wtb brno model 2e 1987 magazine

Hi, as in description I am after a magazine for a brno 1987 model 2e. A friend who doesn't use this site has lost his mag. Any help or even a point in the right direction would be appreciated

Pretty sure the Norinco mags fit. You can also buy aftermarket 10 shot plastic mags to fit the 2E.

The .22 magazines for a cz452 or 455 will work (these are usually polymer) and available in 5 or 10 rounds capacity.

The original brno mags would have been steel with either a steel bottom plate or plastic.

A quick google shows Reloaders supplies with both metal and plastic 10 rounders, and steel 5 rounders.

norinco definately fit...I use a 9 shot one in mine as its easier to get in and out than the 5 which was nearly flush fitting...a wee jiggle to get it sitting right and works fine.

NZShoota is correct, Ive got the same rifle and Im shooting several polymere mags. Thay actually work better than the steel ones and the dont rust either.

Ah modern times aye I had to wait 6 months for a steel 10 shot mag to be imported for my one back in the mid 1980s

The norinco jw15 work but are of much poorer quality and often require work and are never as good

Richard Wilhelm arms and opitics (Christchurch) is where I got my last one from and it was a 5 shot steel. The polymer ones are worth avoiding as well but are ok, better than the norinco ones anyway.

For serviceability go with the CZ polymer mags. For aesthetics, if you have a BRNO 1 or 2 hunt out a steel mag. If you have a CZ whatever just use a polymer.

I have an original BRNO 1 mag, a CZ 5 shot polymer, a Lithgow LA101 5 shot, and Norinco steel 5 shot.
On a range day they get filled and used either in my Lithgow or the BRNO Mod 1. Except the Norinco, which mostly gets left at home. The others are faultless.

I tried everything with it - polishing inside, adjusting the follower angle to match the others, light lube. It latches in in exactly the same place and angle as the others. Maybe 1 loading in 10 it tilts a catridge up and the bolt won't close. I think it has gremlins built into its DNA.

Many a JW15 has been transformed by using a CZ polymer.
